Mr. Neal Jerome E. Santos from the College of Business Administration, bags the Trinitian of the Year Award (TrOY) in the recently concluded University Recognition conducted last May 4, at Wayland S. Mandell Auditorium. Together with Santos, the other honorees received their awards from various categories: Trinitian Leadership Awards, Outstanding Students from Athletics, Cultural and Performing Arts, Community Involvement, Special Commendation for Students and Organizational Awards and Most Outstanding Faculty Adviser Awards.
Mr. Santos is a senior student of the College of Business Administration, taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management. He is the former president of the CBA local Council that paved his way as the recipient of last year’s Trinitian Leadership Award for College-wide organizations. He is currently serving the council as the Public Relations Officer. Santos also excels in organizational management, being Student Commission on Elections (SCOMEL) Chairman and its Junior adviser from SY 2014-15 and 2015-2016 respectively. Alongside with his exemplary performance in academics, he is also an active student volunteer for the CBA’s PROJECT BEST, Student Affairs Center’s student development programs and to the Trinitian Center for Community Development’s environmental sustainability projects, serving not only the Trinitian community but the partner communities in Brgy. Tatalon and Brgy. Sto.Domingo, as well.
Dr. Benjamin Dayrit, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Marlon Gomez, the Dean of Students, conferred Santos’s TrOY award in behalf of the university president, Dr. Josefina S. Sumaya. In his acceptance speech, teary eyed Santos thanked and dedicated the award to his co-nominees, and most specially to his parents and sister. Santos bested six other nominees from other colleges – Ms. Denise G. Lim (CAS); Ms. Julie Ann J. Valdez (CCIS); Ms. Ma. Antoenette B. Abad (CED); Ms. Harissa Faye R. Nubla (CHTM); Mr. Nathaniel Veron M. Casamina (CMT) and Ms. Sophia Angela P. Inocentes (SLCN).
