Sports and Cultural Center
TUA strives to improve the quality of student life by developing a comprehensive recreational sports program that will provide a variety of opportunities for the participants to develop good exercise habits.
The human body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, should be treated with respect and concern. The Sports and Cultural Center (SCC) Director leads in designing programs that enhance students’ health and quality of life. Students learn skills and attitudes, enabling them to participate in various activities. Intramurals are held annually to provide experiences to assist them in achieving a better state of mind. Trophies, medals, and certificates are awarded to winners.
The SCC promotes creative, social, and ethical values derived from various sports and dances; provides activities conducive to physical improvement of the individual student; and provides restricted activities upon prescription of the University Physician for those with physical handicap. The Dance Troupe and other sports clubs are open to membership for enthusiasts.
The Dr. Henry Noble Gymnasium houses the SCC while the Swimming Pool is located at the back of the Health Sciences Center.
