The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management is the youngest among the colleges of Trinity University of Asia. It has a faculty which is a combination of industry practitioners and academicians. To ensure a competency-based instruction, the college is provided with a hostel equipped with industry inspired facilities and equipments, like hotel rooms; executive suite, junior suite rooms, dorms, function room, bar, laundry, linen room, storage room, cold and hot kitchen, front desk, mock travel agency office and such other facilities like the Park Café. The Park Café serves as a venue that will allow the students to work from planning for a theme to menu planning, costing and actual food purchasing, preparation to service, as well as, marketing to accounting of sales. This practice will allow them to prepare themselves for entrepreneurial ventures. The college handles and conducts the following activities such as: continuous updating of the curriculum and instructional materials: establishing strong linkages with the industry, here and abroad: exposing students to the real world of hospitality and tourism industries through hotel immersion and cruise line exposures: touring to different places, and inviting industry practitioners to speak/share about the actual practices in the industry: participating in competitions and other venues for development and advancement of knowledge and skills: and monitoring of students performance and attitude to ensure that Christian values are inculcated into their system. |
