STORY

The Caregiver Course started May 1999 with the purpose to prepare and arm Filipinos with knowledge, attitudes, values, knowledge, and skills as they work and serve others abroad.

CAREGIVER COURSE

Trinity University of Asia-St. Luke's College of Nursing offers a short-term “CAREGIVER” course. This will upgrade the level of knowledge, attitudes, values and skills of the Filipino workers in the SERVICE INDUSTRY with the end view of coming up with quality services and increased productivity. It is an innovative way of helping the Caregiver enhance their self-esteem and confidence in performing their job.

GOAL

This eight-month Caregiver course aims to produce well-trained Caregivers, equipped with updated knowledge, highly skilled, with good attitudes and values in the promotion of health and prevention of illness of an individual.

OBJECTIVES

The Caregivers will be able to:

• Professionals and non-Professionals
• Married or Single
• At least High School graduate
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Personal Data
• 2x2 Picture with white background (2pcs)
• 1x1 Picture with white background (2pcs)
• Form 137 or 138 (Xerox)
• Certificate of Good Moral Character
• Marriage Certificate (if married) (Xerox)
• Diploma (High School &/or College for Professional) (Xerox)
• Certified true copy of Transcript of Records (for Professionals)
  

Note:Certification will be issued upon completion of the course.

What is Medical Transcription?

• Converting into written form the dictation made by the physician and other healthcare professionals regarding patient's medical information.
• Growing global billion dollar industry that can provide steady employment for those with good listening and typing skills and the ability to work independently.
  

What does a Medical Transcriptionist do?
A Medical Transcriptionist creates electronic text records of a patient's medical information
that is dictated or recorded by a physician or other healthcare personnel.

This is an intensive course designed to allow individuals with advanced office skills and background on medical terminologies and procedures to further develop skills specific to entry level medical transcriptionist positions.
