Trinity University of Asia recently hosted a highly successful national conference on May 3-4, 2023.

The 2023 SPRINT-ECP National Conference with the theme “Overcoming Multifaceted Challenges in Modern-day Engagements and Educational Technology for Christian Institutions and Administration”, aimed to provide solutions to the various challenges faced by Christian educational institutions in the modern world.

The conference was conducted both onsite and via Zoom, making it accessible to attendees from all over the country. Participants included administrators, professionals in the field of education, and educators. The two-day conference was packed with informative and engaging sessions, featuring talks and presentations from renowned speakers and industry experts. The program included plenary and parallel sessions, all aimed at providing practical and relevant insights to the attendees.

Among the highlights of the conference was the inspirational message by The Most Rev. Brent Harry W. Alawas, Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines, who spoke on the interrelation between education, health, and spirituality and their significance. There were also lectures on the latest technological advancements in education and how they can be used to enhance learning and improve outcomes.

The parallel sessions led by faculty members of Trinity University of Asia’s Graduate School of Education Dr. Nelson Tantoco and Dr. Juliet Demalen, and Trinity University of Asia High School Principal Dr. Julius Somera were designed to be interactive and participatory which allowed attendees to delve deeper into specific topics related to Christian Education and Administration, Education Technology, and Wellness Education. The networking and knowledge-sharing possibilities offered by these sessions allowed participants to benefit from the experiences and viewpoints of one another.

The conference was graced by distinguished speakers including Founder and Director of Education Innovations International Consulting and Consultant of the University of Maryland College Park, USA Dr. Spencer Benson, faculty member of the Philippine Normal University’s College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research Dr. Crist John Pastor, the Director of University of the Philippines Los Baños’ Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education Dr. Greg Pawilen, Department Head of Trinity University of Asia’s Education Department Dr. Maria Theresa Cardano and faculty member Ms. Katherine Claudette Tandoc, Principal of Trinity University of Asia High School Dr. Julius Somera, Department Head of Trinity University of Asia’s Psychology Department Mr. Ronn Mikhael Avila, Director of Trinity University of Asia’s University Research and Development Center Dr. Ma. Antonia Crudo, and Program Chair of Trinity University of Asia’s Graduate School of Education and the Conference Chairperson Dr. Marissa Ejercito-Borines.

Overall, the conference was a great success, offering valuable insights and practical solutions to the complex challenges faced by Christian educational institutions. The Schools for Peace, Relevant Instruction, Nurturance, and Transformation (SPRINT) and the Episcopal Church in the Philippines (ECP) in partnership with Trinity University of Asia, extend our gratitude to all the participants and attendees who made the 2023 SPRINT-ECP National Conference a success.
