What is a Junior High School program?

TUA Junior High School provides a critical bridge between elementary and senior high education. JHS offers students in grades 7 to 10 a comprehensive curriculum that prepares them for the challenges of higher education and beyond. Through a diverse range of subjects and activities, students develop essential academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and social-emotional competencies to thrive in their educational journey and beyond.

TUA High School Principal

Dr. Julius D. Somera

Dr. Julius D. Somera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics, graduating magna cum laude from Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City. He was honored with the Trinitian of the Year award for his exceptional leadership within the university community. He furthered his studies with a Master of Arts in Education specializing in Educational Management and attained a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management. Currently, he is enrolled in the Certificate Program in Distance Education at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).

Dr. Somera is recognized as a National Certifier by the DepEd Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and actively contributes as an accreditor for the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities – Accrediting Council Inc. (ACSCU-ACI). He serves as a part-time Professorial Lecturer at Trinity University of Asia’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Education – Education Department and Graduate School of Education. Additionally, he holds licensure as a Professional Teacher and possesses proficiency in the N5 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). 

Dr. Julius D. Somera, is a recipient of the Bishop Paul Matthews Service Awards for 5 and 10 years of exemplary service. He is also awarded as an Outstanding Principal for Innovation in Education at the World Education Leaders Summit and Awards 2021. 

In his current roles, Dr. Somera serves as the Principal of Trinity High School and holds the position of Institutional Chair for the Curriculum and Instruction Committee at Trinity University of Asia.

Junior High School Objectives and Outcomes

THS Junior High School aims to:

  1. Prepare the students for Senior High School, college, and higher educational pursuits; 
  2. Equip the students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for productive work and gainful employment; 
  3. Provide opportunities for developing special talents and interests that would enrich lives;
  4. Awaken in the students their sensitivity for the needs and feelings of others so that they will be of service to the less fortunate and the needy; and
  5. Prepare the students to take their place in society as citizens dedicated to the Christian way of life and service.

Student Facilities

At TUA Junior High School, we offer a range of specialized facilities to enhance learning experiences. Our campus includes a well-stocked library, a music room, a TLE room for practical skills, modern science laboratories, a computer room, a robotics room, and a gymnasium for physical education. We also have a hydroponics and aquaponics lab for hands-on learning.

  2. Form 138 (Report Card) with Learner’s Reference Number (LRN)
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character 
  4. Photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  5. Income Tax Return of Parents/Guardian for ESC Grant (for private school graduates only)

TRANSFEREES

  1. Two (2) pcs.  ID Picture  each size 1×1 and 2×2 (latest)
  2. Form 138 (Report Card) with Learner’s Reference Number (LRN)
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character

STEP 1 Open https://mytuaportal.org/lwsis/

  • Click New Students
  • Fill out the Admission and Registration form; Click Submit
  • Check email for the login link

Log in as follows:

  • Account type: Applicants
  • Email Address: (enter email address provided)
  • Password: tuapassword (this is the default, kindly change once logged-in)
  • Term: FIRST SEM OF SY 2024-2025
  • Click Generate Student Number

STEP 2 Submit the following documents to the Trinity High School (THS) Campus for evaluation and assessment:

  • FRESHMEN
  1. 1 pc. Latest 2×2 ID Picture
  2. Dean’s Evaluation
  3. Trinitian Guidance and Career Center’s (TGCC) Recommendation
  4. Transcript of Records / Scholastic Records
  5. Transfer Credential / Honorable Dismissal
  6. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  7. Copy of NSO / PSA Birth Certificate
  8. Copy of Marriage Certificate (for married female applicants)

  • TRANSFEREES

REQUIREMENTS

At TUA Junior High School, graduation requires completion of 108 units of DepED-mandated subjects and 29 units of Institutional subjects.
