What is a Senior High School program?

TUA Senior High School serves as a vital transition point between junior and tertiary education. Our program, catering to students in Grades 11 and 12, offers a holistic curriculum designed to equip learners with the academic, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills needed for success in higher education and beyond. With specialized strands including Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM); Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS); and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), students have the opportunity to tailor their education to their interests and career aspirations.

TUA High School Principal

Dr. Julius D. Somera

Dr. Julius D. Somera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics, graduating magna cum laude from Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City. He was honored with the Trinitian of the Year award for his exceptional leadership within the university community. He furthered his studies with a Master of Arts in Education specializing in Educational Management and attained a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management. Currently, he is enrolled in the Certificate Program in Distance Education at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).

Dr. Somera is recognized as a National Certifier by the DepEd Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and actively contributes as an accreditor for the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities – Accrediting Council Inc. (ACSCU-ACI). He serves as a part-time Professorial Lecturer at Trinity University of Asia’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Education – Education Department and Graduate School of Education. Additionally, he holds licensure as a Professional Teacher and possesses proficiency in the N5 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). 

Dr. Julius D. Somera, is a recipient of the Bishop Paul Matthews Service Awards for 5 and 10 years of exemplary service. He is also awarded as an Outstanding Principal for Innovation in Education at the World Education Leaders Summit and Awards 2021. 

In his current roles, Dr. Somera serves as the Principal of Trinity High School and holds the position of Institutional Chair for the Curriculum and Instruction Committee at Trinity University of Asia.

ABM Strand, graduation requires completion of 114 Academic Units that comprises 51 units of Core Subjects, 21 units of Applied Subjects, 24 units of Specialized Subjects, and 18 units of Institutionalized Subjects. Completion of 80-hour Work Immersion program and Research Project with Hardbound copies and in IMRAD Format.
