The Libraries

Online databases provide access to electronic journals & databases that the University Library has bought or licensed access to. The library holds a subscription for EBSCOhost research databases. Access to a variety of databases, e-journals, and e-books is available through the EBSCOhost interface. The databases are particularly useful for locating journal articles and other publications on a specific topic within each database’s subject areas.

How to Access EBSCOhost:

TLC VIRTUAL LIBRARY
During this time of pandemic, wherein most libraries are closed, Trinity University of Asia continues to provide the services and resources needed for teaching and learning of its constituents. The TLC Virtual Library was created to provide online access to the different services and resources that the library is offering during these trying times.

To access the TLC Virtual Library:
1. Go to https://tualearning.com/, and then enter your username and password, and then click log in.
2. At the upper part of the Dashboard, kindly click the TUA Community and then choose Library.
3. The TLC Virtual Library main page will appear in your screen, your home of online information and resources, serving you 24/7 in the comfort of your home.

• Different library guides / bibliographic listings prepared by the librarians for the different programs offered in TUA
• Course reserves lists
• A directory of academic, peer reviewed open access books and journals covering multidisciplinary subjects
• A curated list of theses and dissertations around the world covering different subject areas
• A directory of Junior and Senior High School books
• Guide to different educational apps for IOS and Android
• Compilation of research accomplishments by TUA faculty and staff that includes scholarly journal articles, books, book chapters, papers published in conference proceedings. Student publications from the different academic units are also included.
• Compilation of publications of different government agencies in the Philippines

OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (OERS)
Open Educational Resources are any type of educational materials that are in the public domain. They are published under open licenses (i.e. CC-Creative Commons, CC-BY-SA Creative Commons, By Attribution, Share Alike, CC-BY Creative Commons, and By Attribution) that specify how materials can be used, reused,  adapted, shared and modified according to specific needs. They can include textbooks, lecture notes, syllabi, assignments and tests.

LIBRARY VIRTUAL OFFICE

The University Library VIRTUAL Office is an informal, online consultations with library staff. TUA librarians will assist the students and faculty online through our TUA Virtual Library Office via Google Meet at https://tinyurl.com/TUA-Virtual-Library-Office every Monday to Friday, 8:00 am -12:00 noon and 1:00-5:00 p.m. This service aims to:

1. To enable the Trinity University of Asia Library to provide virtual reference assistance and services to the university’s different library patrons during COVID-19 pandemic.

1. To provide fast and reliable answers to questions that can expect a real-time response (examples: directional, ready reference, citing sources and suggested references).

1. Log-on using your TUA email account.

Faculty can request for library orientation for their classes. Faculty are advised to accomplish the this online request form: https://tinyurl.com/ TUALibraryOrientationRequest.
