What is a BS Psychology Course?

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology is a four-year program designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes for careers involving interpersonal relations, ethics, research, psychological well-being, and community or organizational development. It also prepares students for advanced studies in various psychology specializations and further education in fields like medicine, law, and business management.

The Head of the Program

Prof. Mary Ana Seline Angoluan, MA, RPm

She holds the title of Registered Psychometrician (RPm) and graduated Cum Laude from Trinity University of Asia in 2013. Pursuing advanced studies, she achieved Magna Cum Laude honors and earned the distinction of Benemeritus (Thesis) in her Master of Arts in Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) specializing in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her academic contributions are noteworthy, with publications in numerous international journals and recognition as a peer reviewer. Outside academia, she has developed training modules for various companies in Metro Manila that focus on employee development. Currently, she is furthering her education by pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas.

BS Psychology Objectives and Outcomes

The BS Psychology program endeavors to:

  1. Develop students’ full understanding about human nature;
  2. Help attain full developments of their potentials to respond effectively to the demands of the global community.
  3. Provides students with a solid basic foundation on the major areas in psychology in preparation for further training and studies in chosen fields of specialization in psychology, law, medicine, education or business management.

The BS Psychology program aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Knowledge in Psychology. Demonstrate the capability to discuss and analyze the major theories and concepts in Psychology
  • Psychological Research. Demonstrate and apply the methods of psychological inquiry in building knowledge on local culture and context.
  • Applied Psychology in Practice. Demonstrate and apply psychological theories and methods in personal and professional settings.
  • Independent Learning. Demonstrate capability for self-reflection and independent learning in graduate education or in a professional context.
  • Ethics. Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors in research and practice in Psychology.
  • Interpersonal Skills. Demonstrate harmonious interpersonal relationships with colleagues, clients, and others in diverse cultural settings.
  • Psychological Assessment. Demonstrate the ability to conduct psychological assessments and evaluation.

Student Facilities

The Psychology Department organizes various extracurricular activities for students. These include the Psychology Salubong and Department Assembly, as well as participation in the Campus Club Fair and Christmas Outreach. During Psychology Days, students engage in activities like Sensitivity Training, MMROPG Tournaments, Escape Room challenges, Quiz Bees, Cathartic Commons sessions, and the prestigious PsychAwards. Students also participate in group dynamics sessions every semester.

To facilitate the application process, the student may encode in advance his/her information via

Attach the following:

  1. Form 138 (Report Card) / ALS Certification
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  3. Photocopy of PSA / NSO Birth Certificate

The Admission Officer will generate your Student Number and your Assessment Form

STEP 3 Pay Tuition Fee at the Finance Office to be officially enrolled


  1. Please pay the required down payment to be officially enrolled. Paying less than the required amount will not process the enrollment.
  2. Scanned copies of admission credentials should be attached as part of the ONLINE. However, original copies must be submitted to the OAR Admission Officer on or before the first day of classes. Failure to comply may nullify the admission.
  3. Students who are still waiting for their complete original copies due to on-going classes will be asked to execute a promissory letter stating when they can submit the required documents.


STEP 1 Open

  • Check email for the login link

Log in as follows:

  • Account type: Applicants
  • Email Address: (enter email address provided)
  • Password: tuapassword (this is the default, kindly change once logged-in)
  • Term: SY 2022-2023
  • Click Generate Student Number

NOTE: Applicants with Student Number may start from here after logging in.

STEP 2 Proceed to Registration Module

  • Click the “+” (plus) icon
  • Click “Save” to generate registration assessment
  • Review your Student Assessment Form (SAF)

STEP 3 Pay Tuition Fee

  • Proceed to Payments
  • Choose your Payment Mode; Input Amount to Pay;Click Pay Now
  • Select your Payment Option; Click Send Instructions via Email/Mobile
  • Click Validate Payment

After payment, please wait for at least two (2) to three (3) days for the Finance and Accounting Office’s (FAO) clearing and checking. After which, the student may check his/her portal account to check if he/she is Officially Enrolled.

Graduation Requirements


The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program comprises 188 academic units. Completion of three practicum areas (150 hours/area) encompassing Educational, Clinical, and Industrial settings, along with the successful completion of a thesis project.

Graduation Requirements for College and Graduate School Candidates

  1. Application for Graduation to be filed at the Office of Admission and Registration (OAR)
  2. Completed academic, documentary, and financial requirements.
  3. Documentary requirements:
    • Form 137A marked “Copy for Trinity University of Asia” (for students who initially enrolled as freshmen)
    • Transcript of Records (TOR) marked “Copy for Trinity University of Asia” (for students who initially joined as transferees)
    • Graduation Clearance
    • Settled graduation fee

Additional requirements for Board takers

  1. One (1) 2×2 ID picture with white background
  2. Additional requirements for Graduate School students
  3. Hard bound and finalized Thesis or Dissertation
  4. Certified True Copy of the following:
    • Title Page
    • Approval Sheet
    • Abstract
