Visit to Pro Civitate Aged-Care Facilities Strengthens Geriatric Nursing Focus of TUA SLCN
As part of the recent trip to Germany, Trinity University of Asia (TUA) representatives, University President Dr. Gisela D.A. Luna and Dean of the St. Luke’s College of Nursing (SLCN) Dr. John Michael O. Lorena visited Pro Civitate, a long-standing partner organization. Pro Civitate operates over 20 stationary nursing homes across Germany and has significantly contributed to the advancement of geriatric nursing education at TUA.
Pro Civitate has been a vital partner for TUA for many years. This German company specializes in providing high-quality care for the elderly and has supported TUA by funding for the creation of the SLCN Geriatric Nursing Laboratory. This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in the Philippines and serves as a benchmark for nursing schools nationwide.
This visit marked the first time TUA representatives traveled to Germany to meet with Pro Civitate. The discussions during this visit focused on strengthening our partnership and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in geriatric nursing education and care.
