TCCD VOLUNTEERS’ FELLOWSHIP: The Power of WE: Enriching Minds through Volunteering

The Trinitian Center for Community Development (TCCD), in collaboration with the different Colleges and the Trinity High School, held the annual Volunteers’ Fellowship on September 13, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. This year’s theme, “The Power of WE: Enriching Minds through Volunteering”, aimed to highlight the importance of selfless service to the underprivileged members of the society.

The program was graced by the presence of the Dean of Students, Mr. Homer C. Balmes who emphasized the importance of teamwork and social responsibility to help improve the quality of life of the marginalized communities. On the other hand, Mr. Alen Josef Santiago, the resource person of the event, shared his valuable experiences on volunteering. He also inspired the students to promote social justice and human rights as they lead community engagement initiatives. Finally, the TCCD Director, Ms. Caroline Balmes concluded the program with her statement that reinforced our mission in empowering Filipino communities through volunteering and education, and making them aware about their role in helping others around them.
