TUA Expands Academic Horizons with Successful Visit to Germany and Austria
Trinity University of Asia (TUA) continues to broaden its academic horizons with a visit to Germany and Austria from June 8-15, 2024. During this period, University President Dr. Gisela D.A. Luna and the Dean of the St. Luke’s College of Nursing (SLCN) Dr. John Michael O. Lorena, engaged in strategic discussions aimed at deepening existing partnerships and exploring new collaborations in healthcare and education.
TUA delegates met with Pro Civitate, a long-standing partner that operates over 20 nursing homes in Germany. Pro Civitate has significantly contributed to TUA by funding the creation of the SLCN Geriatric Nursing Laboratory, the first geriatric nursing laboratory in the Philippines. These discussions further reinforced our commitment to academic excellence and cultural exchange.
In Austria, TUA participated in a Programme Visit made possible in coordination with the C&C Human Resource Development, alongside the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria. The visit showcased innovative educational practices and advanced research facilities that pave the way for future collaborations in student mobility and joint research.
A highlight of the visit was the signing of a Letter of Intent between TUA and the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria that formalized commitments to academic collaboration, student exchanges, and joint research initiatives.
This visit represents a major advancement in TUA’s efforts to enhance educational opportunities and international collaborations. Through these partnerships, TUA is broadening its academic horizons and providing its students and faculty with invaluable international experiences and perspectives.
