TUA and University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria Sign Letter of Intent

Trinity University of Asia (TUA) and the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria (UAS) took a significant step towards strengthening their international partnership by signing a Letter of Intent for academic collaboration on June 13, 2024. This pivotal event was a highlight of the ongoing efforts to foster international cooperation in healthcare and nursing education.

The Letter of Intent outlines a framework for friendly international collaboration between the two institutions. This agreement focuses on several key areas, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and shared academic resources. By formalizing this partnership, both TUA and UAS aim to enhance the quality of education and research in the fields of healthcare and nursing that will benefit the students, faculty, and the broader academic community.

Dr. Gisela D.A. Luna, President of TUA, and Dr. Silvia Öhlinger, Head of University Development at UAS, represented their respective institutions during the signing ceremony. The event emphasized the commitment of both universities to fostering a global academic environment that encourages innovation, research, and academic excellence.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions, including Dr. John Michael O. Lorena, Dean of TUA’s St. Luke’s College of Nursing (SLCN); Ms. Bettina Schneebauer, Managing Director of UAS; Ms. Heide Jackel, MBA, Head of Degree Programme Healthcare and Nursing; and Mr. Matthias from C&C Human Resource Development.

Dr. Öhlinger expressed enthusiasm for the potential joint initiatives and the positive impact we will have on the academic community.
