Media and Communication Department Extended Technical Support and Training to DepEd

The Media and Communication Department of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education extended technical support and training to the teachers of the Department of Education (DepEd), Division of Pasig City.  Topics covered during the training were directing by Asst. Prof. Adonis Rugeria, editing by Junior Lecturer Francis Rae Quilantang, hosting by Asst. Prof. Divino Cantal, Jr. and educational broadcasting by Dr. Walter Yudelmo.

In a preliminary survey conducted by the Media and Communication Department, it shows that the participants were eager to learn from the trainers as many of them has developing knowledge on the technical competencies of the broadcast industry and the emerging media.

More than 200 teachers of DepEd from kinder to senior high school (K-12) were trained on 4-9 January 2021. The series of trainings and workshops were held through face-to-face and face-to-screen. One of the objectives is to extend technical support to public school teachers deliver the learning materials in the new normal as many of learning institutions in the country is conducting flexible learning options and mostly online due to COVID-19 pandemic.
