Speech Communication Organization of the Philippines Recognizes TUA as an Institutional Member

The Speech Communication Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SCOP), the 40-year old national professional organization of speech educators, researchers, practitioners, institutions in the Philippines visited Trinity University of Asia (TUA) and formally recognized the University as Institutional member.

Dr. Howell T. Ho, Vice president for Academic Affairs (VPAA), received the certificate of membership and recognition for the institution. As institutional member, TUA and SCOP will have partnerships resulting in training-workshop on speech, communication and research.

SCOP officers present in the event were Dr. Roger S. Ambida, SCOP president (City College of San Jose President); Dr. Jannette L. Pinzon, vice president (University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman; Kate Ashlyn N. Dayag, Secretary (UP Diliman); Dr. Ma. Cecilia C. Ycong, Director for Membership (Trinity University of Asia); Dr. Dolores E. Alawas, Director for Chapters and Affiliates (Benguet State University); Dr. Francis Michael P. Yambao, Director for External Affairs and Linkages (College of San Benildo Rizal); and Mr. Kenneth F. Jamandre, Director for Resource Generation (UP-Diliman). Online attendees, on the other hand, include Mr. Brian Ben C. Coronel, Assistant Secretary (PATTS Aeronautical College) and Dr. Edward M. Quinto, Auditor (Mapua University).

Meanwhile, a collaboration between SCOP and the Asian Congress for Media and Communication (ACMC) is now being facilitated by Dr. Walter H. Yudelmo, TUA Program Head of Media and Communication and Executive Director of ACMC.
