TUA-CHTM ventured in its first project with new Knowledge Partner GGSIPU School of Mass Communication (New Delhi, India)

Trinity University of Asia-College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (TUA-CHTM) ventured in its first project with its new Knowledge Partner Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) School of Mass Communication (New Delhi, India) by actively participating in the latter’s Faculty Development Program held last April 15-27, 2021. In the event, TUA-CHTM was formally introduced by its Dean, Dr. Pong Trinidad, who delivered institutional greetings and a perspective on the rationale of the 13-day intellectual enrichment gathering. Seasoned TUA faculty Dr. Walter Yudelmo (Academic Head, Media and Communication Department) talked on “Health Communication of New Media: Formulating a Triangulation Method” and Engr. May Anne Laciste (Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Microsoft Ambassador to the Philippines, and Faculty of the College of Engineering and Information Sciences) discussed “Understanding Artificial Intelligence” on April 21 and April 23, respectively. Themed “Developing Academic Leaders for Future: The Way Forward” the successful event aimed and intended the professional development of faculty members of institutions of journalistic education towards relevant conducts of doing research. It was designed to provide online training on media principles, pedagogical techniques, research methods, expert opinion on specialized fields, and state-of-the-art media technologies. Spearheaded by Dr. Durgesh Tripathi, Coordinator at The GGSIP University University of Mass Communication, the program’s opening day was graced by Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra of the Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. 170 participants from around the globe joined the two-week event. Some of which were the TUA-CHTM faculty.
