The Junior High School (JHS) Co-Curricular Clubsย flaresย their chain of talents as they presented themselves on the โSTUDENTSโ CLUB OPEN HOUSE (SCOH) La Fiesta 2021. This was organized by the Trinity University of Asia Basic Education Junior High School (TUA-JHS) Department conducted through Zoom and Live at TUA Junior High Schoolโs Facebook Page last February 17, 2021.
With the teaser videos that the clubs produced, the audience were able to witness the clubs showcase their skills and talents. The Mathematics Club presented Math nโ Tiktok which presented fun tricks in solving equations. To give way for the Plantitas and Plantitos, the Hydroponic and Aquaponic Gardening Club (HAG Club) featured a variety of information about its sustainability. Arts Club presented “Arts in the midst of Pandemic”, an exhibit that presents different forms of art showing how it is viewed and is utilized in the midst of the pandemic. The Computer Club presented Online Class Basic Applications Tutorials where the final output is a website that contains different videos that can aid students on how to use the basic applications complementary to their online classes. The Debate Society made the audience amazed with their presentation of Practical Debating Skills through unconventional presentation of the practical uses of debating in everyday life which was followed by a humorous video and thematic live presentation.ย The English Literary Club ย presented five recorded storytelling presentations entitled “#StartWithAPage” and shared some facts related to literature. Sports Club presented the Online Fitness Challenge and ย Online Gaming, a ย full body 10-Minute workout challenge for the audience and live online gaming tips. Teatro Club presented a Dulang Panradyo and Covid Awareness Videos made using TikTok App. Lastly, the Japanese Culture Club brought the audience to Japan by presenting Japanese Songs and Manga, a well-known comic of Japan.
SCOH La Fiesta 2021 was an avenue where JHS students expressed their passions and interests in different disciplines, and showcased to highlight the studentsโ skillful learning in the TUA community. Also, the event showed that sharing a common interest with the people around you can be of help in taking your skills to the next level. Despite having an online learning setup, these co-curricular clubs were still able to nurture the studentsโ gifted abilities. And as for the students themselves, they were able to prove that learning and cultivating abilities cannot be hindered.
