TUA inks partnership with Kaohsiung Municipal Sanmin Senior High School, Taiwan

University President Dr. Gisela DA Luna signed last Friday, 16 September, a Memorandum of Understanding with Kaohsiung Municipal Sanmin Senior High School Principal Liu Jen-Cheng which now opens venues for various international collaborations between the two institutions.

The said MOU will facilitate TUA High School and KMSSH faculty and student exchange, research partnerships, and other innovative efforts. It also establishes an opportunity for TUA BS Education students to have paid online internships with KMSSH, which is known in Taiwan not only for its academic achievements but also for its school baseball, fencing, and girls tennis varsity teams.

Present to represent TUA in the virtual formal signing were VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Howell Ho, VP for Administration and Finance Matilde Asuncion, College of Arts Sciences and Education OIC-Dean Dr. Teresita Capacete, High School Principal Dr. Julius Somera, and Alumni, Industry Relations, Global Education Office (AIRGEO) Manager Caleb Donne Coniate, and TUA Senior High School students.

Trinitian Center for Education and Technology Manager Engr. May Anne Laciste and staff provided the technological requirements of the said virtual meeting between the two schools.

The said partnership is a joint-effort of AIRGEO and Taiwan Education Center-Philippines Manager Jennifer Yeh.
