Trinity University of Asia’s 61st Commencement Exercises

Trinity University of Asia TUA recently held its 61st Commencement Exercises on June 27, 2023, at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). The event served as an important celebration, honoring the academic achievements and aspirations of the graduating class. With distinguished guests, inspiring speeches, and memorable ceremonies, it was a day filled with pride and joy for the bright futures that lie ahead.

The atmosphere was electric as the graduates eagerly awaited the inspiring words from their Commencement Speaker, Hon. Judge Arlyn Concepcion-Soresca. As an Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 143, Cainta, Rizal, and an alumna of TUA High School Batch 1983, Judge Arlyn Concepcion-Soresca brought a unique perspective and shared her invaluable insights to motivate and guide the graduating class.

The Commencement Exercises also provided a platform to recognize outstanding individuals who have excelled academically. The Valedictory Address, delivered by Ms. Georgie Catalan, the Summa Cum Laude of the BSBA Major in Financial Management from the College of Business, Management, and Accountancy (CBMA), was a moment of inspiration. Her words gave a sense of hope and determination to the audience and her fellow graduates.

Ms. Catalan’s Valedictory Address served as a source of reassurance, encouraging them to embrace change and navigate the different seasons of life with courage and resilience. She stated, “These worthwhile experiences made me cling to the belief that our present is not our eternity. It is a calming yet realistic thought that can help us get through various seasons of our lives. I am a firm believer that our present situation is not our final destination. This season reminds us of the impermanence of things – how change is immensely necessary, even though the word itself can be terrifying.”

During this significant occasion, the graduates were invited to pledge their unwavering loyalty to their alma mater. Ms. Ivy Claire Bermudez, the Summa Cum Laude from BS Radiologic Technology of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), led the heartfelt Pledge of Loyalty to the Alma Mater. It symbolized the deep connection between the graduates and Trinity University of Asia, fostering a lifelong bond of support and camaraderie. Mr. Caleb Donne Coniate, the Manager of the Alumni, Industry Relations, and Global Education Office (AIRGEO), led the induction of graduates to the TUA Alumni Association, welcoming the graduates into a vibrant and supportive alumni network. It marked the beginning of their continued involvement and contributions to the university’s legacy.

The Commencement Exercises were expertly hosted by Mr. Caleb Donne Coniate and Ms. Dawnie Dela Cruz, who skillfully guided the audience through the program, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees.
