TUA Delegation’s Journey Focused on Internationalized Education in Indonesia

In February 21-25, 2024, a delegation from Trinity University of Asia ventured on a journey to Jakarta, Indonesia, to immerse themselves in the 32nd Indonesia International Education and Training Expo. The expo, renowned for attracting over 30,000 students and professionals from across the globe, served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and partnership building in the field of internationalized education.

Our delegation comprises Alumni, Industry Relations, and Global Education Office (AIRGEO) Manager Mr. Caleb Donne Coniate, College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) Asst. Dean Dr. Serena Gomez, TUA High School (THS) Principal Dr. Julius Somera, BS Pharmacy Chair Ms. Ma. Concepcion Sim, and St. Luke’s College of Nursing (SLCN) Faculty, and Alumni Asst. Mr. Allan Valenzuela. We seized the opportunity to observe the latest trends in student recruitment and to establish collaborative partnerships on international student and faculty exchanges, joint research, curricular benchmarking, and school-industry relations. One of the highlights of our journey was the opportunity to establish collaborative partnerships with Indonesian universities and industry leaders. These interactions allowed us to explore potential areas of cooperation and lay the groundwork for future endeavors.

Beyond the expo halls, our delegation also had the privilege to meet with top officials from renowned Indonesian universities, including Universitas 17 Agustus 1945, Tanri Abeng University, Universitas Fancasila, and Universitas Kristen Indonesia. These personal interactions facilitated meaningful exchanges of ideas and paved the way for enduring partnerships.
