TUA successfully hosted the 2nd PASMETH Dean’s Forum
The Trinity University of Asia was the host of the recently concluded 2nd PASMETH Dean’s Forum, held last March 30, 2021 via zoom platform.
The theme for this year is “Challenges and Opportunities of Flexible Learning in Medical Technology Education”. Asst. Prof. Geromil J. Lara, Dr. Supachai A. Basit, and the PASMETH President Dean Bernard U. Ebuen were the resource speakers.
A total of 102 participants composed of deans and program heads of medical technology schools across the Philippines attended the conference. They were welcomed by the university president, Dr. Wilfred U. Tiu, while the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gisela D.A. Luna gave the closing remarks. The forum moderators were Dr. Ferdinand A. Mortel, Dean of the Manila Central University and Mr. Angelo Christian O. De Guzman, TUA faculty.
The PASMETH Dean’s forum was conceptualized by the University of Santo Tomas in 2019, with the aim of presenting the innovations in medical laboratory science education and profession, the latest trends in diagnostic medicine, and developments in clinical internship.
Dr. Maria Teresa T. Rodriguez, Dean of the College of Medical Technology, is the overall chairperson of this year’s forum.
