MT104 bags first place in CASE inter-collegiate vlog competition

The “Change is inevitable” vlog with members Regine Chua, Jade Alexis Gan, Erica Grace Repre, Hans Steven Osio, and Josiah Villanueva from MT104 under the Purposive Communication class of Dr. Maria Cecilia C. Ycong bagged the first place in the Trinity University of Asia (TUA) inter-collegiate vlog competition. Judging was done last November 15, 2019 with judges Professors Jervis Manahan (ABS-CBN reporter and vlogger) , Mark Pitoc (Marketing and PR expert; vlogger) and Gino Razon (film enthusiast and guru), part time faculty members of Media and Communication.  The contest is  in connection to the College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) days celebration that will run from November 20-22, 2019 with the theme: “Working Mobility: Innovation and Global Competitiveness.”

“Change is inevitable” vlog showcases the changes brought by technology, especially in our transportation.  The evolution of transportation from calesa ride to grab booking shows a revolutionized change in the transportation system in the country and the world.

Second place went to 2TOU1’s “Les Voyage with members Mary Adelaide Francisco and Armie Fei Quitevis under the Purposive Communication class of Prof. Al Ryanne Gatcho. ” It talks about how people love to move and use technology. The third place was awarded to MT105’s “Barkada Diaries” with members Ameera Eunice Batas, Andrea Andrews Casus, Franchesca Cissie Enriquez, Zoe Natividad and Jose Miguel Nojadera under the Purposive Communication class of Dr. Ycong. It highights how the youth enjoy technology these days with a special feature on a very innovative home.

Meanwhile, TUA’s Grade 11, STEM 2 also participated in the vlog highlighting their interviews with their classmates on how to become globally competitive.  Two of the interviewees were the exchange students in Japan.

Purposive Communication classes  with the participation of Grade 11, STEM 2  were enjoined to do vlogging with the theme “Be Innovative, be globally competitive”. Awarding of medal and certificate will be on November 22, 2019 during the Black Stallion night.

Prof. Ahleli Ayos from the Languages and Contemporary Studies chaired the event under the supervision of Dr. Howell Ho, Officer-in-Charge of CASE.
