Broadcasting and Communication Students Explore Possibilities at the 2019 Philippine College Radio Congress

Students taking BA Broadcasting and BA Communication together with Asst. Prof. Adonis Rugeria from the Media and Communication Department of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education of Trinity University of Asia attended the Philippine College Radio Congress on November 26-28, 2019 at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman. The Congress on its fourth year with the theme “Back to Basics,” aims to re-inculcate the fundamental principles and skills that a responsible, knowledgeable, and equipped media practitioner should possess in a rapidly evolving and innovating world. Learning sessions highlighted broadcast ethics, history, management, as well as creative and hands-on sessions on voice acting, college radio newsroom, and acoustics and recording. The Congress was convened by UP Department of Broadcast Communication, the CHED Center of Excellence in Broadcasting as well as DZUP 1602, the official AM radio station of UP Diliman. It was co-presented by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, and Manila Broadcasting Company, and is endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education.
