Trinity University of Asia (TUA) and the Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) have formalized a three-year partnership that will provide TUA students with opportunities for workplace exposure, practical training, and professional development while contributing to the promotion and preservation of Filipino culture and heritage.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covers Academic Years 2025–2026 to 2027–2028 and brings together TUA’s commitment to experiential learning with NPF’s role as a government-owned and controlled corporation dedicated to strengthening Filipino cultural identity.

Under the agreement, qualified TUA students may undertake on-the-job training and internships at NPF, subject to the Foundation’s requirements and standards. Student-trainees may be assigned to the Marketing and Operations Office, where they can gain experience in areas such as marketing, project development, training development, project implementation, artifact handling, and related operational functions.

The internship opportunities allow students to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting while gaining a closer understanding of how cultural, tourism, and public-service institutions develop and implement programs.

The partnership also extends beyond student internships. NPF may participate in TUA’s annual job fairs and other employment-related activities, while its personnel may explore TUA’s undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs for their continuing personal and professional development.

The partnership is supported by TUA’s International and Industry Relations Office (IIRO) and TriLink. IIRO, headed by Manager Caleb Donne E. Coniate, MAEd, serves as the University’s coordinating unit for the implementation of the agreement. TriLink, represented by Dr. Fernando V. Trinidad III, TriLink Officer under the Office of the President, supports the partnership in line with TUA’s work in experiential learning, industry and government engagement, and employability.

The collaboration was advanced in coordination with NPF Executive Director Marygrace A. Ac-Ac, DBA, together with the Foundation’s concerned officials and units, under the leadership of TUA University President Gisela D. A. Luna, PhD.
