TUA IBAM and Bayview Park Hotel Advance Faculty Immersion Through Academic-Industry Partnership

Trinity University of Asia’s Institute of Business Administration and Management (TUA-IBAM), through the TriLink Office, and Bayview Park Hotel Manila strengthened their academic-industry partnership through a faculty immersion held on August 5, 2026.

The TriLink and Bayview Park Hotel Executive Industry Immersion and Hospitality Leadership Roundtable gave IBAM faculty members the opportunity to engage directly with Bayview Park Hotel executives and department leaders and gain first-hand insight into current hospitality practice. The immersion covered key areas of hotel operations, including guest experience, food and beverage, sales and revenue management, human capital development, technology, engineering, and sustainability.

The initiative brought academic and industry perspectives into the same space which allowed faculty members to better understand the practices, challenges, and expectations that shape the hospitality workplace. These insights can inform classroom discussions, curriculum development, teaching materials, research, and internship preparation.

The faculty immersion was made possible through the collaboration of Atty. Eugene Yap, President and General Manager of Bayview Park Hotel Manila; Mr. Caleb Donne Coniate, Manager of TUA’s International and Industry Relations Office (IIRO); and Dr. Fernando Trinidad III, TriLink Officer of Trinity University of Asia.

For TUA IBAM, the immersion provides faculty members with direct industry exposure that can strengthen the connection between academic learning and professional practice. For Bayview Park Hotel Manila, the partnership creates an avenue for continued engagement with educators and future hospitality professionals.

Through faculty immersion and sustained industry engagement, TUA IBAM and Bayview Park Hotel Manila continue to build a partnership that connects education with the realities of the hospitality sector and gives educators a closer view of the field their students are preparing to enter.
